Another benefit of NFP
A perspective on NFP that I hadn’t given any thought to before.

Excellent article and makes me think of a quote from my favorite book (Mere Christianity):
“A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in.”
Have never thought that teaching kids discipline early on in regards to dating is preparing them for NFP.
I agree about teaching early with discipline.
I also was the kiddo who sat through chastity talks at conferences and retreats in high school thinking “easy for you to say, you are married.” Its a great perspective to be able to communicate to kids that its not a matter of marital status, its a matter of respecting a truly sacred act no matter the marital status. It is one shared responsibility to respect the act and its not a matter of when we respect it (single / married), it is a matter of HOW each of us are respecting it.
That is, we are fighting the same fight but from different angles.
